Horse Meat Disco

Horse Meat Disco is a byword for Sunday night London bacchanalia which accidentally resuscitated the original dance music genre onto the world stage. The four-strong DJ collective of Luke Howard, Severino Panzetta, James Hillard and Jim Stanton began their disco shenanigans on New Year’s Day, 2004 at The Eagle, Vauxhall. Beside their famous well-hung equine neon logo (“Our Eiffel Tower”), their brand of reverential, revisionist bonhomie turned out to be its own form of futurism, restructuring the London nightclub pyramid. “You put music at the top and getting high or jiggy follows,” they say, “not the other way round.

Reparations

Reparations is an iconic all Black drag show produced and hosted by the winner of Drag Queen of the year 2023, Nicki Jizz. D'Arcy Drollinger

D’Arcy is an actor, writer, director, choreographer, producer and entrepreneur. D’Arcy is the owner and artistic director of OASIS, voted San Francisco’s best nightclub/cabaret. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Drollinger created Meals On Heels, which employed out-of-work drag artists who delivered food, cocktails and socially-distanced lip-synch performances to give a little “sparkle” for the community during shelter in place.

D’Arcy has written over a dozen original works, including: Bitch Slap, Temple of Poon and Disastrous, as well as the web series Hot Trash. Drollinger’s first feature film, Shit & Champagne, became an instant cult classic and is now streaming on Hulu. Drollinger is the producer, director and co-star of the long running Bay Area holiday tradition, The Golden Girls Live.

Lauren Flax

As a Detroit native, Lauren Flax was immersed in the freedom and sonic tapestry of the 90s Midwest rave era. She relocated to Brooklyn years ago, but still brings that Midwest energy and diversity to her DJ and live sets, fusing cutting acid lines with the bounce of Chicago jack and Detroit grooves.

An in-demand DJ and producer, Lauren’s extensive and unique discography includes remixes and collaborations with a long list of world-class talent like Grammy-nominated artist Sia, Little Boots and Tricky, and a worldwide tour as a member of the successful trip-hop project CREEP. Her releases on The Bunker NY, Truncate’s WRKTRX, a split EP with Posthuman, and 2022 The Sweat EP on Super Rhythm Trax showcase her prowess with techno, house, acid, and electro, while her Out of Reality EP on 2MR dives into more melodic, emotive explorations.

Experiencing a lack of female representation within their scene at key decision, promoter and DJ level, they launched their own parties including the TIO summer series to address the balance and further elevate female-identifying, non binary and queer artists.

Individually respected as DJs, Their ascent in the US both collectively and individually includes playing from intimate clubs, day festivals and warehouse parties EDC, Day Trip, Skyline & Coachella, Heidi also frequently plays in the UK and EU at clubs such as Panorama Bar, and festivals including Glastonbury, Gala & Defected. They host individual radio shows on Dublab with Masha having a further residency on NTS. Heidi & Masha’s back to back sets cast their own special kind of spell, their synergy in the booth comes from a great working relationship and close friendship. They rarely pre discuss their sets but are always aligned excited and inspired by one another’s choices as soon as the first track drops.

Por Detroit, Mexico City’s premier queer party, makes their return to San Francisco. The party has, for more than half a decade, brought a radical energy to their city’s underground scene. Founded by Kodemeul and Perfect Lovers in CDMX in 2017, the party become active in LA as well with the help of LA icon Dj Victor Rodriguez. For Pink Block, Perfect Lovers goes b2b with Victor Rodriguez, pushing a cross-generational vision of throbbing, pulsating dance. Joan (she/her) is a producer, DJ, and a raver at heart. Dancing in the scene since 2017, Joan invests a majority of her free time making bleep blop bloops at home or investing her time & sweat to the Bay Area underground scene. As a DJ, she enjoys sharing the euphoric waves that lead to dance floor smiles, as well as moments that provoke deep introspection. The Baptist has a tendency to keep it playful, often humorous, but ultimately shares her music with emotional intentionality and optimism in mind. Religious to no electronic genre, Joan loves collecting music of all kinds, with a focus on Acid House, Progressive House, Breaks, Techno, and experimental genres alike. Mark is committed to keeping queer nightlife vibrant in San Francisco. As half of Polyglamorous, he produces parties including Pink Block and Sneaks. He served on the steering committee of the SF Bay Area Queer Nightlife Fund, which raised $400k and provided grants directly to workers in queer nightlife sidelined by the pandemic. She hosted ResisDance featuring an all-Trans femme artist lineup with proceeds going to the TransLifeline. Dance Dance Revolution, the Night at the Roxbury soundtrack, her mom’s disco and soul records—they all influenced her musical journey. She hasn’t stopped dancing ever since. She’s House. She’s Techno. She’s Disco.

ZAYM

Ahmed started out as a classical violinist and a cappella nerd before falling deep into electronic music. He picked up DJing during the pandemic (skipped sourdough), and now spins everything from melodic techno to indie dance, with a love for catchy melodies over darker basslines. He’s based in San Francisco, where he’s lived since 2016, aside from a few years in LA throwing warehouse raves under the Ma’am banner.
